My name is Ido Ben Shalom an i’m a Unity Game Developer from Tel Aviv specializing in 2d games in any scale. I’ve been programming since 2012 and have published several apps for Windows, MacOS, Android, and Ios. But my passion for games started at a very early age. My interest in video games sparker when I was 5 years old when I got my first console for my birthday, The SNES, that day was one of my fondest, earliest and most vivid memories of my early days, I quickly connected the console, set up a chair close to the TV, and inserted the first game I’ve ever played: Super Mario Bros.

From that moment on I was hooked to the game and played for hours every day for months. That love for playing video games eventually fueled my curiosity for making games, I was fascinated by the process behind it and wanted to learn more and I knew that that’s what I wanted to do growing up

What’s my story? or SOME BACKGROUND

the second I started playing I was mesmerized, from that moment I basically non stop, I was really fascinated about how this game was created ,

when I was 10 I had my first computer (screenshot of Packard bell computer)

the computer was a sort of escapism for me and I spent most of my time playing video games on the computer

While I played hunders of games in my life time, some of my favorite game include: Most of the command and conquer games (esp) Total annihilation, LBA2(first game I received for my bday)

Mortal Kombat 3, MDK, Red alert 1(the first game i’ve ever bought)

Video games for me were more than just fun, they were used as escapism for me growing up, and kept me

(list some of the games) during my entire life, I’ve played hundreds of games

What mostly attracted me to programming is the problem-solving aspect of it, I was always curious about how programs and games just came into existence, 8 years later and still going strong I’m enjoying every moment of it,

I find a lot of meaning and satisfaction in it especially when a game you’ve made is being played by thousands of players

Why am I creating this blog?

I’m creating this blog to help new developers get a good starting point for developing games, as well as helping strengthen my own knowledge, and as a portfolio of my work.

I am going to be discussing more intermediate concepts in programming and concepts that are more related to Unity3d
